Society For Rational Dress
Society for Rational Dress designer Corinne Grassini first received her degree in Sociology from Washington University before going to design school and eventually graduating from the prestigious Central St. Martins in London. Grassini's background in sociology serves as the foundation for her interest in design as she explores modern dress through social morays. Toward the end of the 19th century, the Rational Dress Society sought to do away with the rigid undergarments typical in Victorian era dressing, and like the namesake, Grassini seeks to create simple, but unique clothing known for it's exquisite structure and intricate details such as her signature metal and leather works.
