JADEtribe designer Kimberly Hartman originally hails from the great state of Texas, but this veteran of the fashion industry has traveled from Los Angeles, to New York, to Paris, and beyond. When her fashion commute proved to be too much, Kimberly decided to go off the beaten path and her journey brought her to the remote villages of Laos. While Kimberly watched the women of these communities dye and weave beautiful fabrics by hand, she recognized the exotic beauty of these textiles and the amazing talent of the women creating them. For a fair wage, Kimberly buys the textiles, and uses them to create each uniquely beautiful piece of the JADEtribe collection. The repurposed and hand loomed, organically dyed textiles, and hand braided and hand beaded embellishments are what make this collection the true embodiment of fashion with a conscious.
